Creative and Artistic Graphic Design Portfolio Websites For Inspiration
Graphic design is one of the most popular forms of modern applied art. It does not only involve adding colors, textures and shapes or the elements of design but keeping your aesthetic sense fully organized and active all the time. Almost every graphic designer today tries to put up his/her portfolio online to guide the clients to them. Online portfolios or portfolio websites are common these days as the widespread use of internet has made it possible for graphic designers to support their resumes through them.

There is a large number of graphic designers who are working day and night and there is no dearth of quality websites which are being used by them. This is so, because a graphic designer’s role is very important in design whether it be logo designing, website designing, illustration or anything. It is no wonder that all designers save their best for their portfolio website. Now, let’s take a look at some inspirational portfolio websites of graphic designers.
Just Creative Design
The website design is simple and the color combination is sedate. Easy browsing experience emanates from eye-catching and crisp navigational links. Not to mention the wonderful projects in web design, logo design and print design, the designer Jacob Cass has completed and put on display.
James Charlick
The first thing which attracted me in this website is the diversity in his work, then the way in which he has placed his projects on the main page. Notice the small thumbnails at the corners and the vertical banner type in the middle. Don’t miss out the cool background.
Julien Moreau
This graphic designer hasn’t given thumbnails or shots of the executed projects but has placed links to them. What makes this website more attractive is the plain black theme with colorful beams emanating from the title spread all over the page.

Giancarlo Fajardo
By looking at the graphics of the main page the designer doesn’t need to be writing that he designs creative graphics. May be that is not made by him, but who cares. This gives a great inspiration to any one who has some taste of fantasy.
KAVOON
It is understandable how they inserted a water melon on their page but what makes it beautiful is how they envisaged a shiny border with a deep space background. Hmm, the image of our planet taken from a space ship comes to mind, albeit without the blueness of oceans. Oh wait; it has some orbits surrounding it as well that makes it a star. Whatever, the graphics are just awesome.
Designer Folio
The background is plain black with some traces of colorful artwork. But what separates it from the rest is the use of poorly marked borders around the navigational links. Don’t forget to take a look at the projects executed by this designer; you will get something new.
Foxie’s Graphic Design
This portfolio website will surely be an eye-catching one for you. The navigational links have been fantastically arranged in the form of books on a shelf and don’t forget to notice the effects that come on different side shelves. Oh, and I just noticed they are actually the symbols for different tasks and you will be enthralled on observing how meaningful are they.
Peter Pearson
What I like the most about this website is its freshness and the appeal to browse it. A splatter of paint in the clouds becomes your center of attention as it guides you to click on the right. Gasp… You surely want to pick up the pace and walk on the clouds.
DumbWaiter Design
Focusing on design and practical implementation of design that has actually benefited people around them, this portfolio website showcases some really good graphics accompanied by words that will inspire you.
Magnivate
Designed and animated in Flash, this website is too good to be inspired from. I love to visit this website often, create an avatar and just imagine to be one of the characters around that peaceful little town.
On a serious note, they have a great portfolio that showcases all the projects done for different clients around the world which provides the visitors with a great deal of inspiration.
DoodleKit
This may not be a portfolio website, but it will help starters get their own website built. For some people, this one might come across as stereotypical but the site of an engineer who is concentrating on the project for a client while wearing his full kit is a great inspiration from not only designing point of view but also from a personality building perspective.
